We’re still super keen to get out to Mauritius but need a recce trip first to sort out a few more details. Get in touch if you’d be interested in joining us in Mauritius in 2023.

This will be Progression Live’s first year of heading to Mauritius – though known for its strong winds and huge waves, there is a foiling paradise tucked away to the east of the island…

• Pointe D’esny offers moderate winds and a huge flat lagoon protected by an outside reef – still a hidden gem in the kitefoiling world so expect plenty of open water to practice your next moves.
• We’ll be based in Preskil Island Resort, a new hotel and watersports centre. Located right on the waterfront we’ll be able to see the first signs of breeze allowing us to maximise your time on the water. The hotel and centre are newly built, complete with a swimming pool and a massage room to cure all the aches and pains from many hours of riding.
• There’s plenty of space for our land coaching sessions on the front deck, a core part of your Progression Live camp and with this being half board, the excellent restaurant ensures we have nothing to worry about other than kite foiling, kite foiling and more kite foiling.
• The prevailing wind comes in from the SE, building as the day warms up. The lagoon is a very safe place to kite with the added security of the centre’s rescue boats to assist whenever needed.
• Unique filming and photography opportunities to maximise your kite foiling development. All images are taken right from the harbour arm so we capture all your moves up close.
• Max 8 guests with 2 coaches so lots of personalised coaching
• Options available for single occupancy, room upgrades, all inclusive board and family chalets. One of our best camps for your partner or family to join (seen more below).

Wind and Weather

• SE thermal wind, building through the day
• We can expect anything from 10 – 25 knots
• Kite sizes: Possibility for 15m – 6m depending on your weight, foil and experience
• Air: 20-25 degrees / Water: 23 degrees – Wetsuit recommendation: Shorty

Who is this clinic best suited to?

• You already own your own hydrofoil (rental options are available).
• You’ve already had a few session and at a minimum are able to waterstart and riding along off the foil holding your ground upwind
• Through to foilers who are up and riding comfortably on the foil but you want to improve your technique and learn gybes and tacks.

Whatever your level do get in touch and we can discuss if this particular clinic will be best for you.

Bring your Partner or Family

This camp is a great opportunity to bring your partner or family along. In such a beautiful location your family will have plenty to do whilst you are foiling with us and though we can keep you busy for hours on the water, it’s your holiday so dip in and our as much or as little as you want, balancing your time with your family. We want your partner to feel they too are part of the group over the week, joining us for any of the other land-based activities and evening meals – though feel free to do your thing in the evening if that works better for you and your family. Planet can also put together additional packages, so just enquire when you book.

We work our travel partner Planet Kitesurf who will be able to assist you with your booking. All aspects of the accommodation, flights, transfers can be tailored to your needs and if you’re interested in staying longer or even heading off for some other adventures whilst there, they will be able to sort this all out for you.
