Carving on a foil is silky smooth but to start with can feel pretty unsteady. In this video we’ll help you understand the how the co-ordination of your kite and foil along with the correct body position is vital to staying in control through out the carve. There is a lot to consider to ensure you keep constant power through the turn, whether you are flying the kite over the top or through a downloop; riding in flat water or waves; and the differences that you need to be aware of when carving on a big kite in 10 knots or whipping round a 6m. And we’ll look at the differences between the heelside to toeside carve and starting toeside carving round to heelside.
