Learning to gybe on a foil requires learning a variety of skills, thankfully we can break these down into small progressions that we can tackle individually. The carving turns and toeside riding are more straight forward and are in reach for most kitefoilers when you have the correct knowledge and understanding, building up your skills and confidence and minimising the crashes. The foot change is for most people the more tricky element but thankfully we can work on it separately from the other two main techniques, focusing on its unique dynamic nature and building on the off the foil foot change.
This free introductory video will cover the overall steps we are going to take, look at how different foils will effect your gybes and also some techniques you can learn on your twintip and surfboard to help speed up your progression.
